What to know
An annual report to shareholders, a regulatory filing, and the financial statements within either can be different translation scopes.
Identify reporting year, signed version, appendices, and auditor material.
Financial terminology and non-financial claims should remain consistent across tables and narrative.
Ask whether the reader needs the complete report or a specific filed extract.
Document guide
These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s investor site distinguishes an annual report to shareholders from a Form 10-K filing, which includes audited financial statements. Some companies use the same document for both, but others do not. Ask whether the Slovak reader needs a filed regulatory report, a designed shareholder report, an annual-accounts package, or selected sections. Use the exact report title, company, fiscal year, filing or approval date, and edition named by the recipient.
A report may contain management commentary, governance statements, risk discussion, segment data, financial statements, notes, auditor reports, and appendices. Identify which pages are requested and whether tables, footnotes, charts, images with embedded text, or linked reports must be translated. An excerpt can be useful only if the recipient accepts it and the translated file clearly identifies what was omitted.
The translation should retain units, currencies, comparative years, percentages, cross-references, defined financial terms, and the auditor’s actual opinion wording. It should not recalculate totals, change accounting classifications, or imply that unaudited narrative has been audited. A company finance owner should review figures and terminology against the approved source before publication or filing. Legal and financial interpretation remains with qualified advisers and the recipient.
Provide the reporting year, source format, approximate words or pages, table and chart counts, exact sections, Slovak reader, required layout, and deadline. State whether the source is an editable file or scanned PDF. Do not paste nonpublic financial material into the quote form; arrange a suitable file-review channel once scope is agreed.

We review the request and may contact you by email if more detail is needed.
Frequently asked
Answers to common questions before you request a quote.
No. The SEC distinguishes them, though a company may use the same report for both. Tell us which document and sections the recipient named.
The text can be assessed, but preserving the design and embedded labels depends on the source file. Include chart and page counts in the request.
