Document: Audit Report. Include the approximate length, recipient, and deadline if you know them. We’ll review your request and may contact you by email about next steps.
What to know
An audit report refers to identified statements, dates, standards, and an opinion. A summary or paraphrase can change the meaning.
Include the signed opinion, basis section, key audit matters, and referenced statements.
Qualified, adverse, and unmodified opinion wording cannot be treated as equivalent.
Ask whether the recipient needs the complete financial package or only the report.
Document guide
These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.
Record the auditor, company, reporting period, signature and report dates, auditing standard, and exact financial statements named in the opinion. Ask whether the Slovak recipient wants the signed auditor report alone or the full statements and notes it addresses. A standalone opinion page may leave the reader without the accounting context or qualifications referenced elsewhere in the report.
The U.S. Public Company Accounting Oversight Board distinguishes an unqualified opinion from qualified, adverse, and disclaimer outcomes for audits under its standards. Other jurisdictions may use different terms or reporting frameworks. Translation should preserve the source category, the basis for any modification, materiality language, scope limits, and the auditor’s stated responsibilities. It must not turn a modified opinion into an unmodified one or present an emphasis or critical-audit-matter discussion as a separate opinion.
A report may be reissued, include comparative periods, or refer to a later event, amendment, or separate internal-control report. Identify all pages, footnotes, signatures, audit-firm details, and statements the recipient requests. The report’s opinion applies to its defined source set and period; translating it does not extend the auditor’s assurance to another year or a Slovak reformatted statement. A finance or audit owner should review the final Slovak copy against the signed source.
State the report year, auditing framework if known, page count, connected statement pages, source format, recipient, required output, and deadline. Do not paste nonpublic results or account figures into the initial public form. We can discuss a protected file-review method after understanding the request.

Frequently asked
Answers to common questions before you request a quote.
Only if the recipient expressly wants a separate summary. A translation of the auditor report should preserve the actual opinion and its basis.
No. The auditor’s opinion covers the statements identified in the signed source report, not a newly prepared or reformatted set.
No. Under PCAOB AS 3105, a disclaimer means the auditor expresses no opinion; an adverse opinion says the statements do not fairly present the specified financial information under the applicable framework. A qualified opinion preserves a stated exception. Keep the exact category, basis, and scope in the translation; ask an audit adviser to interpret their significance.
