English to Slovak document translation services

Documents carry more than words. Names, dates, headings, tables, and the intended reader all affect how a translation should be prepared. Tell us about your file and how you plan to use it.

What helps us scope your request

A short description is enough to start. Include the details below if you know them.

01

Document and length

Identify the document type and approximate pages or words. Mention scans, handwriting, tables, or images that contain text.

02

Audience and use

Tell us whether the translation is for a person, company, school, or authority. If a receiving organization has instructions, include them.

03

Timing and output

Share your target date and whether you need an editable file, a layout close to the original, or another specific format.

What to check before ordering

These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.

Define the complete source

A two-page certificate, a thirty-page contract, and a product manual need different preparation. State the printed document title, current version, number of pages or words, and whether appendices, reverse sides, stamps, charts, screenshots, or handwritten text must be included. If only part of a larger file is needed, ask the recipient to identify that part before ordering.

Tell us what the Slovak version is for

A private reader may need a clear working translation, while a school, court, registry, or other authority may prescribe an official translator, certified copy, or particular output. Quote the receiving organization’s exact written instruction rather than relying on a broad label such as “certified.” Translation and an apostille are different steps; the recipient decides which it requires.

Describe the output and reference material

Mention whether the source is an editable Word file, spreadsheet, slide deck, scan, or image-based PDF. Say if the layout, tables, numbering, or form fields must remain recognizable. If your team has approved Slovak terminology or previous translations, mention them so the request can include consistency work.

State the decision date, not just “urgent”

Give the date you need the finished text and any earlier filing or internal-review date. Scans, specialist language, complex layout, and formal requirements can affect scope. A delivery date or price can be discussed only after the actual request has been reviewed.

Start without sending sensitive files

The form asks for your email, document category, and document name. Scope notes are optional. The document title is enough to start; do not paste passport numbers, medical details, court records, or other sensitive source text. We can discuss a suitable way to review the document if it is needed to prepare a quote.

How to request a quote

Tell us what the document is, who needs the Slovak translation, and when you need it. The first form does not require a file.

01

Describe the document

Choose the type and tell us where the translation will be used.

02

Add your requirements

Include the approximate length, deadline, and any instructions from the recipient.

03

Review and next steps

We review the request and may contact you by email if more detail is needed.

Common questions

Answers to common questions before you request a quote.

Can I send a scanned document?

Mention the scan and its approximate length in the first request. We can then explain how to share the file for a suitable review. Faint text, handwriting, seals, or an image-only PDF may affect the scope.

Does this service translate from Slovak into English too?

This website is focused on English source documents that need a Slovak version. If your file contains another source language, identify it in the request so the actual scope can be assessed before any commitment.

Is an official or certified translation always needed?

No universal rule applies. A receiving organization may require a particular translator or format; another use may not. Share its exact instructions so the request can be reviewed accurately.
