Tie every note to the release users actually receive

Version labels, rollout status, known issues, and linked UI terms are part of the meaning of a software update.

01

Source record

Include issue identifiers, feature names, known issues, and linked help topics.

02

Reader and purpose

Distinguish a fixed bug from a remaining limitation and keep UI terms aligned.

03

Quote details

Ask whether the notes are public, customer-specific, or internal.

What to check before ordering

These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.

Freeze the release identity

Give product name, platform, version or build, release channel, publication date, intended Slovak users, and the final English notes. GitHub’s release workflow illustrates how notes are attached to a specific release or tag; a vendor may use a different release system. Identify any preview, phased rollout, or customer-specific variant so the Slovak text does not imply that a feature is already available to everyone.

Separate fixes from outstanding limitations

Include feature descriptions, resolved defects, remaining known issues, security or compatibility notices, upgrade requirements, links, and issue IDs. Preserve whether a defect is fixed, partially addressed, or still under investigation. Keep version numbers, command names, API identifiers, and tracking IDs unchanged unless the product team directs otherwise, while translating explanatory language for readers.

Match the running product

Use the current approved terminology list and compare menu names, button labels, screenshots, help articles, and support messages. If a UI label is not localized in the product, ask the owner how it should appear in the notes. Have the release owner verify every statement against the shipped build and planned rollout. Translation does not establish that a feature works or a vulnerability has been remediated.

Plan publication and updates

State word count, source format, linked documentation, supported platforms, glossary, reviewer, publish time, and whether last-minute revisions are expected. Ask whether the deliverable is plain text, Markdown, CMS entry, or formatted page. In the public quote form, describe the release and volume without pasting embargoed fixes, private issue links, or unreleased security details.
