Document: Engineering Drawing Notes. Include the approximate length, recipient, and deadline if you know them. We’ll review your request and may contact you by email about next steps.
What to know
Notes, callouts, dimensions, and revision marks work together; an isolated phrase can change how a part is made or inspected.
Include legends, revision block, callouts, and all sheets in the drawing set.
Units, symbols, and abbreviations require the drawing standard and project glossary.
Ask whether the translated notes must be placed back into CAD files.
Document guide
These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.
Provide the drawing number, revision, discipline, product or assembly, sheets, source format, and intended Slovak manufacturer, inspector, or engineer. Include the legend, title block, general notes, callouts, referenced specifications, and any linked CAD model. ISO 129-1 describes presentation of dimensions and tolerances for technical drawings; the project owner must identify which drawing conventions and standards actually govern the source.
Keep dimensions, units, tolerances, datum letters, surface-finish marks, material designations, weld symbols, process codes, and reference numbers intact. NIST notes that digital product information can include both geometric annotations and process or material notes. Translate natural-language instructions while preserving the identifiers that connect them to features and external specifications. Flag ambiguous abbreviations for an engineer rather than guessing.
Ask whether translated text must be placed back into editable CAD, a controlled PDF, or a separate bilingual note schedule. Check leader lines, text wrapping, sheet references, revision clouds, fonts, and export fidelity in the finished file. An engineer or document owner should compare the Slovak drawing with the approved master before fabrication or inspection; translation does not approve a design change.
Give sheet count, approximate note count, density of tables, editable-file availability, referenced standards, required output, technical reviewer, and deadline. A one-sheet drawing with many callouts can require more reintegration work than a long plain-text document. The public quote form should omit confidential dimensions, proprietary CAD data, and customer part numbers.
How it works
Tell us what the document is, who needs the Slovak translation, and when you need it. The first form does not require a file.
Choose the type and tell us where the translation will be used.
Include the approximate length, deadline, and any instructions from the recipient.
We review the request and may contact you by email if more detail is needed.
Frequently asked
Answers to common questions before you request a quote.
The text can be assessed, but reintegration and final proofing depend on the required output and available editable files.
No. Any conversion or design revision must be separately authorized and checked by the responsible engineer.
