Document: Non-Disclosure Agreement. Include the approximate length, recipient, and deadline if you know them. We’ll review your request and may contact you by email about next steps.
What to know
A short confidentiality agreement can set different duties for each party and rely on precise definitions.
Include definitions, exclusions, duration, remedies, signature blocks, and referenced policies.
Similar English terms may have distinct meanings in the agreement; keep defined terms stable.
Ask whether the counterparty requires a bilingual execution version or an informational translation.
Document guide
These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.
Tell us whether the English source is a one-way NDA, mutual NDA, confidentiality clause within another contract, or a signing draft. Record the parties’ roles, governing jurisdiction, version date, intended Slovak reader, and whether the output is informational or will be executed. Use the definitions in the actual agreement rather than applying generic Slovak terms to every occurrence of “discloser” or “recipient.”
Identify the definition of confidential information, permitted purpose, exclusions, onward disclosures, return or destruction obligations, survival period, remedies, and signature blocks. A definition may depend on an annex or marked list of materials. WIPO explains that NDAs can restrict unauthorized use or disclosure of business information; the exact duties in this project still come from the parties’ source text. Translate the relevant complete set rather than an isolated obligation.
An NDA can itself contain names, projects, technical details, and confidential schedules. Do not paste agreement wording, deal details, or signatures into the public quote form. Give document type, length, attachments, intended use, counterparties’ jurisdictions, output format, and deadline. Arrange an appropriate file-review method after scoping. If the Slovak version will be signed, the parties and counsel should check it against the source and agree on language precedence.
A translation can communicate the stated confidentiality obligations but cannot create a new duty, cure a drafting gap, or establish enforceability in another jurisdiction. If the source uses different labels for trade secrets, proprietary information, and personal data, retain those distinctions and flag ambiguity for the legal owner rather than merging them for fluency.
How it works
Tell us what the document is, who needs the Slovak translation, and when you need it. The first form does not require a file.
Choose the type and tell us where the translation will be used.
Include the approximate length, deadline, and any instructions from the recipient.
We review the request and may contact you by email if more detail is needed.
