What to know
The right scope depends on the buyer, proposal stage, and whether price and technical material must stay in a prescribed format.
Include appendices, pricing tables, service descriptions, and version date.
Deliverables, exclusions, milestones, and validity period should stay clear.
Ask whether the buyer expects a formal offer or an informational presentation.
Document guide
These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.
Identify the buyer and industry, proposal date and version, target audience, response deadline, and whether the document is an informal pitch, requested quotation, or formal bid. Proposals can change during negotiation; mark the source version and list pending edits. A prior Slovak draft should be reconciled against the approved English version rather than assumed current.
Scope, deliverables, exclusions, milestones, assumptions, price tables, validity periods, references, biographies, annexes, and signature pages can all affect the reader’s decision. Tell us whether charts and image text need replacement, whether speaker notes or spreadsheet tabs are included, and whether the final file must remain editable. Keep amounts, units, dates, and product names consistent with the approved source.
A formal public procurement can separate business and technical volumes. U.S. federal proposal-preparation instructions are an example of a buyer defining structure, price placement, and required forms; they are not a universal format. For any tender, use the actual contracting authority’s live language, layout, and deadline requirements. For a private buyer, ask whether a direct translation or locally adapted sales copy is wanted.
A Slovak proposal may be read as a commitment if sent to a buyer. The proposal owner should verify the translated scope, claims, conditions, prices, and offer validity before sending or signing. Translation does not decide whether an offer is binding. For a quote, give page count, tables, artwork format, version, audience, and deadline without posting confidential price or customer information publicly.
