What to know
A notice, specifications, eligibility forms, and later clarifications can each affect a bid.
Include all referenced annexes, amendments, and question-and-answer addenda.
Mandatory language, quantities, and submission conditions need precise treatment.
Ask the contracting authority which language and documents it accepts.
Document guide
These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.
Give the buyer or contracting authority, procurement reference, lot, notice date, submission deadline and time zone, source language, and purpose of the Slovak translation. The reader may be a Slovak bid team reviewing an English tender, or a foreign buyer receiving a Slovak supplier document. Ask whether the authority accepts the intended submission language rather than assuming a translation is mandatory.
List the notice, instructions to tenderers, technical specification, pricing schedule, declarations, contract terms, annexes, questions and answers, and change notices. TED eForms notices record submission languages and deadlines, and buyers can publish changes to notices and procurement documents. Confirm the current documents at the official procurement source before translation starts. A changed closing date or amended requirement can make an earlier version misleading.
Translation can help a team understand eligibility, mandatory wording, quantities, evaluation criteria, and submission steps, but it does not prepare a compliant bid or replace procurement review. If only specifications are translated, ensure the team can also read the conditions, forms, and addenda that govern the response. Keep reference numbers, units, table structure, and form field labels traceable to the original.
State page and table counts, addenda, editable file availability, target format, who will approve the Slovak text, and the internal review cutoff before the tender deadline. Do not paste bid prices, proprietary designs, or credentials into the public quote form. Budget time for the procurement owner to check the final package against the live notice.
