Document: Packaging Copy. Include the approximate length, recipient, and deadline if you know them. We’ll review your request and may contact you by email about next steps.
What to know
Use this guide when several package surfaces, inserts, promotional claims, and print layouts must work together. Required product-label wording may be part of that package, but needs its own careful review.
Include every face, insert, claim, warning, and barcode-adjacent text.
Keep ingredient, material, quantity, and usage terms consistent with approved product data.
Ask whether the Slovak copy must fit fixed space or can be redesigned.
Document guide
These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.
Give the category, model or SKU variants, intended Slovak buyer, destination market, approved source revision, and whether the words will be printed on a box, sleeve, insert, or sticker. Packaging copy can include promotional text as well as regulated information. Food, cosmetics, chemicals, and other products have different obligations; the manufacturer or compliance owner must identify the applicable requirements.
Include all package faces, inserts, warnings, instructions, quantities, ingredient or material wording where relevant, recycling or disposal text, claims, symbols, and text near a barcode or QR code. Compare the package with the product label, catalog, and instruction guide so the same feature or warning does not acquire a different meaning. Mark brand names and identifiers that must remain unchanged.
The European Commission explains that consumer marketing can be misleading when material information is false or omitted. A translator should not add a benefit, remove a warning, or turn a conditional statement into an absolute claim. The product and regulatory owners should review the Slovak wording, required markings, and any destination-language rule before print; translation alone is not a packaging compliance approval.
Provide panel dimensions, editable design files, variants, word count, approval owner, print deadline, and any short-copy limits. W3C notes that translated text may take different space, so check font size, contrast, line breaks, cut lines, and whether all warnings remain readable on an actual-size proof. Describe the product category in the public quote form without disclosing unreleased formula or supplier details.
How it works
Tell us what the document is, who needs the Slovak translation, and when you need it. The first form does not require a file.
Choose the type and tell us where the translation will be used.
Include the approximate length, deadline, and any instructions from the recipient.
We review the request and may contact you by email if more detail is needed.
Frequently asked
Answers to common questions before you request a quote.
Compare the approved copy, quantities, claims, and warnings for each variant before reusing it.
Arrange a final product, regulatory, and actual-size artwork proof first.
Use the product-label guide when the main task is the wording on the product or its immediate label, especially required instructions or warnings. Use this guide for the broader package copy and layout; a single launch may need both scopes reviewed together.
