Document: Prescription. Include the approximate length, recipient, and deadline if you know them. We’ll review your request and may contact you by email about next steps.
What to know
A medication order, dispensing label, and clinician letter are different records; a translation alone does not make any of them dispensable.
Include the complete order, date, prescriber information, and dispensing notes.
Drug names, units, route, frequency, and duration should remain unaltered.
Ask the pharmacist or authority whether it accepts a translated foreign prescription.
Document guide
These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.
State whether the English document is a paper prescription, electronic-prescription printout, pharmacy label, medication list, or clinician letter. Include issuing country, date, pages, intended Slovak reader, and whether the purpose is clinical understanding or a request to a pharmacy. The source may use a brand name, generic ingredient, strength, dosage form, route, frequency, and duration; preserve each field rather than guessing an equivalent medicine.
Your Europe describes the information expected on a prescription issued in one EU country for use in another and says dispensing follows the destination country’s rules. That guidance does not establish that a U.S. or other non-EU prescription can be filled in Slovakia. Ask a Slovak pharmacist or competent authority whether the original record is usable, which information is missing, and whether any translation is requested before ordering one.
Your Europe cautions that an electronic prescription issued in one EU country may not be available to a pharmacy in another; a patient will usually need to ask the prescriber for a paper copy unless the relevant national systems interoperate. A translated screenshot or printout does not itself create a valid paper prescription or make the electronic record accessible. Before paying for translation, ask the receiving Slovak pharmacy what original record it can use and whether it needs any translation.
A brand may differ by country and the medicine may not be available. Translation should keep printed names, strengths, units, and instructions aligned with the source, including any as-needed condition or maximum frequency. It must not change a dose, substitute an active ingredient, or resolve an unclear handwritten order. Have a prescriber or pharmacist verify any clinical equivalence and safety question.
Give issuer country, document type, number of items and pages, recipient, written language requirement, and deadline. Do not put patient identity, drug names, doses, or a prescription image in the initial public form. If medicine is needed urgently, contact a licensed clinician or pharmacist directly rather than waiting for a translation quote.
How it works

Include the approximate length, deadline, and any instructions from the recipient.
We review the request and may contact you by email if more detail is needed.
Frequently asked
Answers to common questions before you request a quote.
Do not assume so. Ask a Slovak pharmacist or competent authority about the original prescription and local dispensing rules.
Do not rely on a screenshot as a dispensing document. Your Europe says an e-prescription may be unavailable outside its home system and that a paper copy is usually needed unless the countries have interoperable services. Ask the prescriber and receiving pharmacist what original format is required before ordering a translation.
No. Medicine equivalence and dispensing decisions belong to licensed healthcare professionals.
