Document: Resume. Include the approximate length, recipient, and deadline if you know them. We’ll review your request and may contact you by email about next steps.
What to know
A current, role-specific source and the employer’s submission rules matter more than a generic CV template.
Provide the version you actually plan to submit and any target job posting.
Job titles, achievements, dates, and qualifications should remain accurate and verifiable.
Ask whether the employer requires a prescribed format or supporting certificate translations.
Document guide
These notes help you describe your request. The receiving organization’s current instructions should guide the final requirements.
Give the target job or program, intended Slovak reader, final English résumé, deadline, and any application instructions. Confirm whether the request is a faithful translation, format conversion, or separately authorized editing for a new audience. Europass advises tailoring a CV to a vacancy and selecting the most relevant experience; that is applicant editing, not a change a translator should silently make to the source.
Include job titles, employer names, dates, locations, degrees, licences, quantified achievements, and any acronym explanations. A role title may not have an exact equivalent across countries, so preserve what can be verified and clarify unfamiliar work in the agreed scope. Do not invent seniority, credentials, numerical results, or language proficiency. Ask the applicant to correct factual mistakes in the English master first.
Find out whether the employer asks for a particular template, page limit, file type, or certificates. Europass offers one widely used CV tool, but a particular employer decides what format it wants. A translated résumé is not a substitute for a diploma, professional recognition decision, or employer reference when those are separately requested. Compare titles with any translated cover letter or certificate.
State approximate pages or words, target role, desired output format, whether formatting or editing is requested, related documents, and deadline. Keep home addresses, phone numbers, full employment history, and identity numbers out of the public quote field. A suitable file review can be discussed after the initial request.
How it works
Tell us what the document is, who needs the Slovak translation, and when you need it. The first form does not require a file.
Choose the type and tell us where the translation will be used.
Include the approximate length, deadline, and any instructions from the recipient.
We review the request and may contact you by email if more detail is needed.
Frequently asked
Answers to common questions before you request a quote.
Faithful translation preserves the source. If you want editing or restructuring, describe that separately and verify all resulting claims.
Not universally. Check the actual employer or program instructions before choosing a template.
